Description: This photo of simply “grass” was taken half way between Willare Roadhouse and Broome. During the second half of the Wet Season, this grass on the side of the road ends up growing to over a couple of metres high by the time the dry season arrives.

The Kimberley is different place altogether during the wet season, the tourists have scampered and you can feel a true sense of community within all of it’s towns. You need to live in the Kimberley for entire year to truly soak up what it has to offer.

Description: Taken during an early walk (way too early for Adrian) out to the old plane wrecks only visible on a king low tide in Roebuck Bay. If you visit Broome at the right time (low king tides) made sure to take a walk straight off where the old town beach jetty used to be located (Which also got destroyed when the Japanese Bombed Broome in 1942)

Description: Boab Trees make for interesting photos and wallpapers. This photo waken taken on the trip back from Windjana Gorge on the Gibb River Road. You’ll find heaps of Boab Trees along the side of the road and out of all the things you do when you visit the Kimberley, you must take a tour or road trip up the Gibb River road and check out Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek.

Description: Taken about midday, this photo was taken around the left corner of Gantheaume Point. Red meets blue, the colours in the Kimberley are unlike any other place on the earth. Many local artists such as Denise Walker and Dave Conolan are inspired by these unique colours in their work.
